Where to Begin
One of the smartest moves you can make is to hire someone you feel comfortable with. Work with an agent who demonstrates they understand your concerns.
- This kind of agent is a good listener.
- They ask what is important to YOU.
- They want to know what your expectations and concerns are.
- They respect your time.
- They come prepared to answer your questions.
- They provide you with information to make informed decisions.
- If they don't know the answer to something they will tell you. And then get you the information you have requested.
Selling a home is never easy. The process becomes ever more complex when you have a house full of "stuff", a life time of memories and maybe an older pet(s) to move.
Then there is preparing the house for sale and finding a new home or retirement community. It can seem really overwhelming.
I have nearly 20 years experience working with seniors. As a RealtorŪ I have earned the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation.
My professional training is as a social service professional. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Seattle University in Community Services.
I am able to identify issues or concerns that need to be addressed to ensure that the sale of the property, the move and the resulting lifestyle change go smoothly and are successful.
I have developed a network of service providers who work with seniors and can address estate planning, legal and/or tax issues.
I also work with a group of vendors who can help prepare a home for sale. These include: organizers, estate sale specialists, housecleaners, painters and other home service professionals.
