Where to Begin
First and foremost hire someone you feel comfortable with. Work with an agent who demonstrates they understand your concerns.
*This kind of agent is a good listener.
*They ask what is important to YOU.
*They want to know what your expectations and concerns are.
*They respect your time.
*They come prepared to answer your questions.
*They provide you with information to make informed decisions.
*If they don't know the answer to something they will tell you. And then get you the information you have requested.
Insist that the agent you hire agrees to represent you exclusively! Changes in the Law of Real Estate Agency allows an agent to represent both the Buyer and the Seller in the same transaction. I believe this compromises the agency relationship and is not in a client's best interest.
Request a written market analysis (CMA) which provides you with information on sales of properties similar to yours in the past 3-6 months.
My goal is to be your "real estate resource". Give me a call when you have a real estate questions….of any type.
